Collegiate Bass Anglers Association (CBAA) is an organization that is concerned about the "graying" of the American angler and realizes the potential implications it has for the future of sport fishing and angling-related industries. CBAA is dedicated to the recruitment of future generations of anglers to help insure that our rich angling heritage retains a solid foundation for years to come.

The CBAA is committed to the education of youth and young adults in the venues of recreational and competitive angling by focusing on both conventional and CBAA’s "edu-tainment" based programming. Increased numbers of youthful anglers will enhance the angling climate and result in improved sales and profits for sport fishing and related industries as well as tax revenue needed to support outdoor and conservation based programs.

The CBAA strives to promote sportsmanship through competitive angling and the development of intercollegiate and interscholastic sport fishing clubs. Furthermore, CBAA believes in developing the whole angler and will partner with leaders in outdoor industries to establish and administer scholarship and internship programs, facilitating the successful transition from student athlete to productive professional. This insures that student athletes receive the necessary professional experience to position themselves for advancement and future leadership positions.
