How a CBAA affiliated club is born...

In the event that you attend a college or university that does not have an existing recognized student fishing organization, the CBAA can/will assist you navigate through the club development process.  CBAA has valuable resources available for your use on our web site that will expedite this process and are simple to use.   Contact us at info@collegiatebass.org and begin this process today!

The CBAA Process . . .

1.         Contact CBAA
2.         Case file opened
3.         Institutional process researched and findings reviewed
4.         CBAA notifies student organizer(s) of the findings (time line established)
5.         Student group completes application requirements
6.         Club receives institutional recognition
7.         Club anglers becomes CBAA members
8.         Club anglers participate in sanctioned CBAA events
9.         Fun is had by all…

Typical Institutional Requirements . . .

The requirements to form a recognized student organization can/will vary from school to school, but most processes will like similar to the following;

1.  Find number of students with like interest (schools will have a minimum number of students required before a ) by holding a “All Call” meeting to gauge interest and identify potential club members (meeting flyer templates available).

2.  Identify a faculty (or staff advisor).

3.  Develop club articles (CBAA templates available)
            1.  Constitution
            2.  Bylaws

4.  Submit a slate of officers; President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary (CBAA form available).

5.  Submit paperwork (application) to student affairs (or like organization that governs clubs on campus)

6.  Paperwork review internally and application forwarded to Student Government for a vote (usually a formality)

7.  Club leadership presents application to the student government

8.  Student government votes (usually a formality) and receives recognized organization status.

9.  Club representative attends Student Activity/Government meetings as required.

10.  Club president complete CBAA membership requirements and submits applicable dues.

11.  Participate in CBAA sanctioned event(s)
